Call Before You Dig!

Since pipelines run underground, have your parents call 811 before digging in your yard, even if it’s just to plant a tree or install a basketball goal. Workers will mark underground utility lines so you don’t damage them or hurt yourself when digging.

Within a day or so after you call 811, utility representatives will visit your home to mark the utility lines with paint or flags.
